Plot summary

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom, e as cenas de ação na parte final do filme, deram uma melhorada no filme.

Good solid entertainment. Deals with the period after

Good solid entertainment. Deals with the period after French withdrawal but before huge American commitment. Burt Lancaster plays his part well as do the rest of the cast. Given when the movie was made , it portrays an early American involvement in a war it did not fully understand very well. To judge it by later events and subsequent movies about the bigger war that came later is pointless. Just sit back with a beer and enjoy it for the unique movie it is.

A respectable Vietnam War movie if on the

A respectable Vietnam War movie if on the lower end of greatness. The movie is well shot and directed but also ordinary. I did like the old-fashioned approach of the movie.
