A very uneventful movie. A son trying to help his alcoholic mother. That's about it. I found the excuses for her alcoholism quite disgusting blaming her disabled son.

I loved seeing Jack Reynor play such a

I loved seeing Jack Reynor play such a good guy since I watched him in Midsommar first and this really shows his versatility as an actor. Of course as always Toni Collette is incredible and Will Poulter is solid and funny. I only wish this film hadn't sold the disabled son as being such a big part of it when he really wasn't.

Toni Collette has an established persona as frustrated

Toni Collette has an established persona as frustrated housewife, but didn't quite have the desperate bipolarity this role needed. It's still heartening to see mainstream exponents flirting with more indy-spirited projects, and I feel that's where this really makes some substantial contributions.
