Plot summary

Tommy Riley has moved with his dad to Chicago from a 'nice place'. He keeps to himself, goes to school. However, after a street fight, he's noticed and quickly falls into the world of illegal underground boxing — where punches can kill.

الفلم عادي جدًا، فكرته عن الملاكمة م?...

الفلم عادي جدًا، فكرته عن الملاكمة مو سيئة، وبها قابلية تطلع شي قوي، بس التنفيذ ما كان بالمستوى. القصة تمشي بطريقة متوقعة، من البداية تعرف تقريبًا شراح يصير، وماكو مفاجآت أو لحظات ترفع الحماس فعلاً. الحوارات عادية، وبعضها يجي مباشر وثقيل شوية. الشخصيات مو مكتوبة بعمق كافي، تحسهم نماذج جاهزة أكثر من ناس حقيقيين، خصوصًا بالعلاقات بينهم. التمثيل مقبول، أكو حضور ببعض المشاهد، خاصة بمشاهد القتال، بس خارج الحلبة الأداء يصير بارد أو متكلف أحيانًا. ماكو لحظة تمثيلية قوية او مشاهد درامية حقيقي. الإخراج يمشي بخط تقليدي جدًا، يركز على أجواء الملاكمة بس بدون بناء درامي حقيقي يخليك ترتبط عاطفيًا. المشاهد الرياضية مقبولة، لكن الفيلم ككل ما ينجح يصنع توتر أو تصاعد يخليك متحمس للنهاية

As far as similar movies go, Gladiator is below average. But if you take in the whole movie, it’s better than the sum of its parts. The 90s look, acting, and happy ending make it an easy watch for a boring afternoon.
