Plot summary

In August 1988, two armed bank robbers keep German police at bay for 54 hours during a hostage-taking drama that ends in a shootout and three deaths.

I've witnessed these events as a teenager and

I've witnessed these events as a teenager and watched every documentary and screen adaptation about it but this new documentary, most and for all due to its dispension with off-commentary while just relying on the original footage, is outstanding. still unbelievable something like this could happen.

A pretty good film about a bank robbery-turned-hostage

A pretty good film about a bank robbery-turned-hostage crisis in Germany in the 1980s. At the time, the police were kind of weirdly hands off, allowing journalists to get close enough to interview both the hostage takers and the hostages, which means that the filmmakers are able to put you right in the heart of things all throughout the film.
