Plot summary

When the Ministry of Education goes back on its promise to keep Ooarai Girls Academy open, the task of saving the five-mile-long Academy Ship from the wreckers falls to Miho and her barely-seasoned tankery team. However, things go off track almost immediately. While the Oorai tank crew may have won the high school tournament, they’re now facing a larger and more experienced university team, and if they fail, their armored vehicles will be forfeit! Will they be swapping their tanks for the memories? It’s possible, but winning a tank battle is all about tactics and teamwork, and the fledgling Ooarai students have more friends and allies than anyone suspects.

A rollercoaster ride

The series prior to this was excellent, and the movie doesn't disappoint. Another reviewer called it boring, I imagine they aren't a fan of action or tactical tank warfare, as the action scenes in this are so well done it's hard to take your eyes off the screen.I watched the original Japanese dub for this anime as well as the movie. The movie has all of the different school's (themed on Countries from WWI/WWII periods) that were in the series, and some new faces. It is set right after the events of the series and surrounds a new problem the Oorai girl's school and their innocent but clever tank commander Miho Nishizumi must deal with. There's a large battle at the start, and an even bigger one at the end which is a blast to watch. There is also a chunk of world building and story revolving around the characters. Another thing worth noting is the animation and sound effects are excellent too.If you watched the series and OVAs prior to this, you'll enjoy this film. If you haven't seen the series and OVA, look up a watch order guide and check them out first.

Really boring

I only watched this because Netflix was getting rid of it and now I can see why, there's nothing good about this movie other than the cute girls but even they were boring and generic. ( Although I should probably mention that I never watched the series so I can't say if it's any better than this movie )
