It's hard to believe this is based on a true story. The other daughter suspected him and never told the police? They could've searched that basement. The ending was disappointing. No shocking reunion/first meeting with the grandma and Thomas? Everyone looking well-adjusted with no mention of all the psychiatric therapy they'd need.
