To be honest, I don't know why I've decided to watch this. Victor really did a good job in portraying the role, but I can't stand the movie's plot.

Just being age 15 and training for professional

Just being age 15 and training for professional ballet is stress enough. Lara's brave acceptance of hormone treatment preceding surgery accounts for rushing the final physical amputation. Her thin body and attempts at lovemaking explain growing despair. The film gives her father little help in discussing the causes of stress. There is also no reason stated for a mother's absence. In toto, a marvelous look into adolescence and dance alongside gender anxiety.
