Plot summary

A detailed chronicle of the famous 1969 tour of the United States by the British rock band The Rolling Stones, which culminated with the disastrous and tragic concert held on December 6 at the Altamont Speedway Free Festival, an event of historical significance, as it marked the end of an era: the generation of peace and love suddenly became the generation of disillusionment.

An unconventional documentary mainly leads up to the chilling capture of the fatal incident at the very end, while the rest is merely prolifically dull when functions akin to a concert film that’s solely delivered for fan bases in addition to being a time capsule to relive imprinted memories during the evident fade of the counterculture era albeit the admirable form that presented the strangely underlying cultism. Classic rock documentary that marks the end of

Classic rock documentary that marks the end of the 60's. What's interesting is that this was meant to the a straight forward coverage of the Rolling Stones's American tour only for the Maysles to capture the chaos at Altamont, including the moment a Hell's Angel stabs a man to death on screen. Brutal and honest, the best kind of documentaries.
