Very ambitious. On a different level from Napoleon

Very ambitious. On a different level from Napoleon Dynamite, but it still has bizarre originality with such awkwardness that I may never fully comprehend. Jermaine stole the show, that and the opening credits. That song "The Year 2525" will haunt me… saw on VUDU .

this is a very stupid movie. Juvenile and purile and cringey. Jermaine Clement's Dr Chavalier is hilarious. This movie has been watched a million times in our household, along with Masters of Disguise. Either you like it or you don't and it seems that most dont LOL!

If you unironically liked "Fried Green Tomatoes" or "Transformers", your opinion is valueless here. This is a quirky movie for silly boys and girls. Sam Rockwell and Jermaine Clement absolutely kill in this film. Clement's character, Chevalier, is perhaps the most correct depiction of a writer in all of fiction. He is pompous, deluded and narcissistic. Rockwell plays two visions of the same fictional character, one is tough beyond the 1980s and the other is... not aging well. Both are ridiculous and hilarious. Shout out to the cyclops that ran over his own leg with a tracked super market cart. I have no idea why this wasn't cut, but it is practically a "blink and you miss it" thing.
