Low budget movie

This movie feels like it was filmed over a weekend using a broken phone, a half-dead flashlight, and a script written on a napkin during a bus ride. The acting is so wooden it could qualify as sustainable furniture, with dialogue delivered like everyone is being held hostage just off-camera. Every line lands with the grace of a dropped fridge, and every emotional moment is murdered on sight by sheer incompetence. The plot-if you can even call it that-wanders aimlessly like it forgot why it existed halfway through. Scenes start, drag on forever, then end without meaning, payoff, or basic logic. Continuity errors pile up so fast you start wondering if the editor actively hated this project and was trying to sabotage it from within.Visually, it's an assault. Lighting is either pitch-black or nuclear-bright, with no middle ground. The sound mix is a crime against ears: whispers are inaudible, shouting blows out speakers, and background noise randomly takes center stage like it's auditioning for a better movie.By the end, you don't feel entertained-you feel punished. This isn't "so bad it's good." It's just bad. Aggressively, relentlessly bad. Watching this movie is like being trapped in a discount bin fever dream and realizing too late there's no exit. Avoid it unless you enjoy suffering or lost a bet.

Despite of never having heard about this 2025 horror movie titled "Gates of Flesh" prior to sitting down to watch it, of course I needed no persuasion to watch it, given my love of all things horror.Writer Bob Giordano, who also directed the movie, put together a pretty straightforward script, though it was a bit reminiscent of the "Evil Dead" franchise in certain ways.So within a mere couple of hours after getting infected, your teeth turn crusty yellow? Yeah, that just makes so much sense. I cannot fathom what writer Bob Giordano was thinking here with this thing.I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list, which was actually something that spoke in favor of the movie. The acting performances in "Gates of Flesh" were fair. The effects in "Gates of Flesh" were pretty low key. But hey, I have seen far worse special effects in other horror movies, so at least it wasn't entirely bad.Watchable for what it was, but it was not an outstanding foray into the horror genre. Watchable a single time, especially if you enjoyed the "Evil Dead" movies. My rating of writer and director Bob Giordano's 2025 movie "Gates of Flesh" lands on a five out of ten stars.
