Plot summary

Galaxina is a lifelike, voluptuous android who is assigned to oversee the operations of an intergalactic Space Police cruiser captained by incompetent Cornelius Butt. When a mission requires the ship's crew to be placed in suspended animation for decades, Galaxina finds herself alone for many years, developing emotions and falling in love with the ship's pilot, Thor.

I first watched this movie in my early

I first watched this movie in my early teens when it reached HBO. Even by my 13-year-old self's admittedly poor taste in film, it stunk. I watched it again last night and age has not improved it one bit. I doubt even MST3K could save this one! It's a pity that this turned out to be Dorothy Stratten's last major film role; apparently she had promise as a serious actress. In fact, she's the one highlight of the film, not only because of her looks but because her acting was convincing.

A surprising amount of effort went into effects

A surprising amount of effort went into effects and costumes. Unfortunately all was wasted in this lacklustre, poorly scripted dumpster fire of a movie. It felt like the producers had gotten access to a bunch of Hollywood sets and for the life of them couldn't think what to do with it.
