Plot summary

In 1925, Gabriela, a poor, uneducated, yet charming woman becomes cook, mistress, and then wife of Nacib, a bar owner in Ilhéus, a small Brazilian coastal town run by the local colonels.

Oh my God! This crap is considered a

Oh my God! This crap is considered a true Brazilian classic?!?! This movie was poorly developed, the acting is considered almost amateur and the plot wasn't that good either. How did Sonia Braga became famous and moved to the USA? She almost doesn't speak. The movie just shows her naked almost all the time.
