Plot summary

On the Japanese island of Amami, despite lacking parental guidance, Kaito and his girlfriend Kyoko try to find their place in the world. While Kaito suffers from the absence of his father, who moved to Tokyo after his birth, Kyoko must come to grips with her mother’s terminal illness.

Beautifully shot and reflective, there's absolutely no need to be cruel to animals just to make your cinematic 'masterpiece' in this day and age. Ruined what should be a great piece of cinema.

Itâ??s like a haiku. The contemplative mood of the movie is executed perfectly. But I still feel that they should have not shown the graphic killing of the goat. Some highlights : the sing and dance part while one of the characters was about to die, and the underwater scene of the young lovers.

Aquele filme para contemplar o silêncio das cenas enquanto refletimos sobre os acontecimentos, lindo, poético, intenso, tem que se prestar atenção aos detalhes, e aí que eu me perco, a família da Kyoko encantadora, cenas fortes como o bode, a caça, ensanguentada, ascensão sensualidade e pureza na nudez, singela e dolorosa morte, cenas entrecortadas pelo mar e suas ressacas, fotografia fria, azul e cinza, apaixonante...
