Plot summary
In late 1960s New York City, fed up with monotonous college life and police repression, free-spirited Fritz, an impenitent seducer and unrestrained party-animal, decides to explore the world. And just like that, as he flees NYC, heading to San Francisco, Fritz embarks on an endless adventure of illumination. Immersed in a world surrounded by drugs and sex, Fritz participates in mad orgies, brings about a revolution, incites mass urban riots, and crosses paths with drug-addled Nazi bikers.

I've seen bits of this Movie way back in the day. And now I got to watch it all & i give it a 5 star. Fun & to the times for when it was made & still kicks it today. TY FREEMAN . Hope u get more Movies like this. Ones this blow the minds of those who r narrow mined :-))
I went to see this film in the mid 70's at a cinema called The Paris Pullman in the West End of London, tiny cinema but great atmosphere, fully enjoyed the film & the experience.
@yoyoloco Who? Crumb or me? Nevertheless, this was mainly because Crumb created Fritz as an essentially underground character and the media - Bakshi included - was turning it into a commercial commodity. And, of course, because his soon-to-be ex-wife sold to Bakshi the rights to make this film, behind Crumb's back ... ;-)
Robert Crumb got so pissed at this movie that he literally killed Fritz the Cat in a subsequent comic story (Fritz the Cat, Superstar) published in that same year- 1972.
Great!!! Thanks!
