Plot summary

Sweet Gordon, an affable English teacher in Brooklyn, has beaten the odds; a French Girl has fallen in love with him and he’s fallen even harder back. But their future is thrown into limbo when she interviews for an executive chef position in her hometown of Quebec City. To Gordon’s dismay her future boss also happens to be her former lover, a celebrity Chef with oceanic eyes and a hit TV show. Good luck Gordon.

I really enjoyed that movie! Being perfectly bilingual

I really enjoyed that movie! Being perfectly bilingual and from Quebec would be a request to be able to appreciate all the references and all the beauty of it, but u was touch by the way it’s filmed, what they are showing of the traditional French Canadian family and the love story in the movie. It’s different from what is out there and the acting is absolutely on point! I’m surprise to see the bad reviews, but I really think it’s a language barrier, if you want to see a romantic comedy that is a little different and shows you some good Quebecois! This is it.

This is the dumbest movie i have had the misfortune of turning on. What a waste of time.

While the cast ensemble is great. The jokes

While the cast ensemble is great. The jokes feel stale, stiff and cringeworthy at best. It lacks everything to make it funny and charming. I had to turn off the movie halfway through given that I‘m still waiting for it to hit a funny note. A movie to pass time in the background at best unfortunately. I was hoping it would be funnier than it is.
