A shot of honest history aimed straight for the heart. As a child I lived in the deep south for a few years- we were from New York. I realized that things were different. I was taught we are all equal. Everyone needs to see this movie.

It feels so refreshing to watch a documentary

It feels so refreshing to watch a documentary with the old narrative structure before the days of Ken Burns or the modern basic cable "non-fiction documentary" fillers featuring talking heads comprised of comedians and "experts." This documentary is a collection of interviews with people who lived the experience of the story the movie is trying to inform us about. Those interviews intertwine with news footage and an informative narration to provide further details and facts about the events. I truly enjoyed watching this film and will want to watch it again. It is an interesting story.
