Unwatchable. One of the worst movies of all

Unwatchable. One of the worst movies of all time.. acting, cinematography, direction, screenplay, all so incredibly amateur and incompetent that it will will shock you. Did the Sinatra family sign off on this? Laughably, Rico characterizes Frank with a heavy Brooklyn-Bronx accent, a kind of a cliche ignoramus mafiosa. Having listened to every Sinatra interview, club date, old radio shows, appearance on Whats My Line that I could find, I never heard him speak like an inarticulate buffoon, On the contrary he was well spoken and without any heavy Brooklyn-Bronx accent, even when obviously drinking and clowning around with the Rat Pack. Nor was he a moron, a character which Rico seems very comfortable with. Also note that neither "Frank" or "Ava" look even remotely, even distantly, like their historical subjects. Note Rico's body of work on Rotten Tomatoes: 9%, 15%, one high score of 21% And yet he wrote the script? I cant wait for his treatment of Sammy Davis Jr. Altogether an insulting treatment of Sinatra, and a week something for the cast and director to be ashamed of, creatively, historically, personally.

The cinematography on this was really good. The concept and story was good. The lead actors were awful. The supporting cast gave hands down, better performances. Frank and Ava were poorly cast.

Great cast, great moments, with beautiful footage shot

Great cast, great moments, with beautiful footage shot at Sinatra home in Palm Springs and in the streets (and fountains) of Rome. Notable performances by Eric Roberts as the slick Harry Cohn, Richard Portnow as Walter Winchell, Joanne Baron as Hedda Hopper, and cameos by Jonathan Silverman and Harry Dean Stanton in his last film role. Also, you can familiar faces from The Godfather, Donnie Brasco, Green Book, Goodfellas, The Irishman. Grammy winner and legend Dionne Warwick performs new recording on screen and Keaton Simons provides original music under supervision of Andy Ross (Whiplash).
