This documentary does a great job of diving

This documentary does a great job of diving deep into Britney Spears real life and who she really is. It contains many valuable clips and footage the demonstrate the real Britney and not the version the media has persented us with for years. I feel that this documentary is very informative on how the media can shape someone's entire image.

I really enjoyed this film because it showed

I really enjoyed this film because it showed the reality those in constant lights and cameras can face. I feel like as a society people are quick to judge, and no one takes time to take a step back, and see how their words have an effect on people, even those in fame. This film broke down many parts of Britney Spears life, and it was interesting to see how she became a star.

Framing Britney Spears is an incredibly well produced

Framing Britney Spears is an incredibly well produced documentary. It exposes all the ways in which Britney was manipulated by the media, coerced into performing, and had her autonomy taken away by her own father. It challenged my previous ideas about her conservatorship and it showed me how gendered double standards negatively shaped her narrative. I found this documentary powerful because it dove deep into system issues like female autonomy, mental health, and exploitation. It was shocking to learn about how poorly she was treated and how her story was shifted to making her look "crazy" and "insane". Overall this documentary highlighted how society failed to protect Britney when she was at her most vulnerable state, and I feel like my perspective on this issue has changed for the better after watching it.
