heads up everyone! we're all stupid in the shadow of the all-knowing HubcapDiamond!! bow down in terror because YOU could be next on their list!!

@thesongbird55...please learn the difference between "Then" and "Than". They are not interchangeable. The rest of you halfwits also take note.

thanks!!!!

Thank you

@Lala2 4K is a digital resolution, so while films shot in digital formats wouldn't have existed prior to 2009, films shot on actual film stock have effectively been subjected to compressed lower resolution scans when digitizing the image from the actual film reel that has the capacity to lose a lot of finer detail that can be restored by rescanning the film at a higher 4k resolution. Effectively, any audience who would've seen these films in their original theatrical run would have watched a higher quality version then is available on any digital format, as the image detail is really only limited by the size of the film stock (typically 35mm) as opposed to limitations imposed by digital resolution which segment the image to fit the amount of available pixels. Because 4K is one of the highest resolutions the eye can perceive, it's most effective at recapturing the experience of the film as it would have been originally presented.

@lala2 this isn't always the case. A lot of 4k releases of older movies are 4k resolution scans of the original films, meaning they do capture more detail at the higher resolution. Ironically its a lot of films shot in digital formats at set resolutions that need upscaling.

Thanks. Now we are just missing OHMSS, A View to a Kill and The Living Daylights to complete the 4k collection.
