Plot summary

Lou and her best friend Chantal plan to get out of their isolated, run-down town and move to a city far, far away. When Chantal’s unstable and possessive ex violates her during a night of partying, the girls decide to exact their revenge on him through a night of vandalism and debauchery.

Hubby and Wife date afternoon theatre provides a well developed and strong finishing 'Firecrackers'. It's well done and it works and it's short and it's simple. Jasmin Mozaffari extends her short film into a feature length feature and Michaela Kurimsky and Karena Evans use a fantastic chemistry to tell a slow burn tale that is a tidy coming of age drama. Believable and authentic, Mozaffari does a great job fleshing out his two main characters so we eventually can root for them. Give this one a chance! Hubby: 7.7/Wife: 7.1 Average: 7.3/10

I didn't think that it lived up to

I didn't think that it lived up to the description. I never saw the night of vandalism, and the supporting cast was weak !!!

A film that goes nowhere

The beginning ten minutes are strong, but the rest of the film does not go anywhere. And the main characters literally don't go anywhere either. It is slow, boring and frustrating. The two girls don't evoke any sympathies at all, which should be central to this plot.
