Plot summary

During a bachelorette party in a secluded California farmhouse, masked intruders launch a brutal attack, forcing eight women to fight for survival. Led by Tess, a troubled military veteran, they unite to defend themselves throughout a harrowing night.

There are worse films about both female badassery

There are worse films about both female badassery and tormentors getting their just desserts...but there are also way, WAY, WAAAAAAAAY better films about these themes too. The script and likely direction are to blame, as the actors are acting their poor little hearts out (in some instances too hard, but these are relatively minor) - the lead however is written in such a way as to make one sorta hope the venerable evil 'good ole boys' at least get a few good licks in, even if they don't win - not because the character is female, but because she's so bleeding annoying to friends and random people alike...the character is also a magat however, so maybe just let the good ole bad boys just finish'er off...

This movie may not work for the people

This movie may not work for the people it mocks but it definitely works for those of us who have had to endure them. If you like Fear The Night, you may also appreciate Big Driver (2014)
