Like Spawn, the Crow, a devilish Batman and late night cable adult programming (complete with expanding breasts...literally) all mashed together and stuck in a cheesy, ill-directed, horribly put together film. Suffers from that late 90s/early 2000s aura as if it is made for teen boys, with its constant naked women in almost every scene. To be completely honest, I tapped out on this one.

I feel like Faust: Love of the Damned

I feel like Faust: Love of the Damned should have been way more fun than it ended up being and for my first Brian Yuzna flick to boot, I was certainly expecting more given the reputation the man holds within the horror community. This is definitely a movie where you want to leave your brain at the door before entry, otherwise, it becomes very difficult to enjoy in any manner. The acting is thoroughly shocking and all-around bad but Jeffrey Combs and Andrew Divoff do attempt to try and add some credibility to the film but are painfully underused all the while the bland personalities of the rest of the cast are presented front and centre. The effects by Screaming Mad George tend to lean on the extremely disgusting side but it falls apart with the overuse of early 2000s CGI which is a shame since the practical stuff looks pretty good. The soundtrack is metal af but the copy I watched had some audio dropouts and poor mixing which often led to the dialogue being inaudible while the metal songs blasted through like the second coming. Granted Faust probably has way more to offer for Yuzna fans than myself but it's at least cheesy and corny in places to not be completely disposable, but where else are you gonna see Jeffrey Combs deepthroat a f**king snake?! ?
