"Far and Away" resonates with me, as an Irish-American. My great-grandparents emigrated to the U.S. prior to the turn of the previous century, and the events leading up to Joseph and Shannon's arrival in Boston is undoubtedly what drove my ancestors to Boston as well. One of the critics on IMDB claims that the film is total fabrication, an opinion with which I disagree. Ron Howard used historical circumstances to create a romantic film about an Irish couple whose goal was to obtain land of their own in America. The goal became more pronounced when Shannon's parents became equally determined to achieve the same goal, and of course the demon, Stephen Chase, doesn't get Shannon nor does he get a plot of land in Oklahoma. Director/writer Ron Howard got everything right in "Far and Away!"
I can confirm this is indeed ENGLISH Audio. I was really worried I'd download it for nothing but it's very good encode for size. 2,150 kb/s video bitrate, 124 kb/s 2 channel ENGLISH audio. Picture is very clear. Thanks for the hard to find movie. P.S. Perhaps someone can update this page to correctly display English audio.
How on earth that only two persons left a positive comment!!! This movie is awesome and I loved it so much. Tom Cruise and Shannon had a powerful performances in this amazing movie. I highly recommend it!

I did watch this in the cinema, it does make you want to work, talk to people and make decisions. Some may say it is a bad thing. Now what was I talking about. U tell me? Better then gangs of New York.
