Plot summary

Fireman Tom Hatcher is at the end of his rope. He saves lives but couldn't save his wife from cancer. Now his daughter faces the same battle. From an unlikely friend, Tom is challenged to face grief and embrace faith in his darkest hours.

Well, I tried to watch it twice because

Well, I tried to watch it twice because I wanted to know what Dean Cain (Superman) and Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) were doing. I'd read that they had both gone seriously conservative and weren't the people we used to know...or thought we did. I was disappointed in the acting and the plot was cookie cutter. Man has bad things happen, man is angry and miserable, man turns to God, man is healed. Getting religion is the cure-all for losing your wife and child horribly. Not therapy, just turn to God and it's all good. It's nothing but a platform to repeat that Faith good, no Faith bad. It shows why we aren't seeing Cain and Sorbo in movies and TV these days.

I enjoyed this movie because it was placed

I enjoyed this movie because it was placed in real life, not a Hollywood version of life. The questions we all have about tragedy and faith coexisting is not settled in this movie but it is nice to share the thought process with great performing characters on the big screen.

I thought it was good overall and worth

I thought it was good overall and worth watching along with a good cast, but it was a little clunky at times and didn't flow well. The movie also seemed to end abruptly with some loose ends to the story unless there is a sequel brewing.
