Plot summary

Saw this earlier today at EIFF and what

Saw this earlier today at EIFF and what a pleasant surprise! After a slightly rocky start, the film picks up it's rhythm and just gets better and better. The two lead performances by Nora Tschirner and Rob Knighton are pitch perfect, taking the movie to great places.

With a title like this, you expect a typical gritty and violent gangster filick. Instead you get a charming , thoughtful sometimes surreal story of when two lost lives collide. it's also drily funny throughout and elegiacally shot without the 'look' ever dominating the accomplished script. Great performances too, and an ending that leaves possibilities still open. Uplifting and thoughtful...I wish there were more films around like this!
