Plot summary

A short Arizona motorcycle cop gets his wish and is promoted to Homicide following the mysterious murder of a hermit. He is forced to confront his illusions about himself and those around him in order to solve the case, eventually returning to solitude in the desert.

Robert Blake . . . what a strange

Robert Blake . . . what a strange dude. A very good actor. Yet I watch stuff lately like Gutfield, late comedy and a guest on his show named Tyler Fischer, and they both short in stature physically and great comics. This movie seemed to me a little focus on Roberts's size in the script. Now I am 5 foot 10 inches myself. I did not like the reference in size in the movie. Other than that, I followed it to it's conclusion and did not like the ending. Seems to me it glorified a sucker punching hippie with a shotgun. Sad. Yep saw it in a movie theatre in the 1970's for all that's worth.
