A blurb I read stated this is an important movie. Perhaps because it was made by an Egyptian direct from an Arab perspective. However it is almost unbelievably bad. Some of the men who are supposed to be power players are old and sweaty and although most wear indescribably ratty and ugly wigs the one who desperately needs to does not. The supposedly ‘beautiful Virginia' is not. I am not talking about actors who do not reach some unrealistic standard of attractiveness. I am talking drastically unattractive people. The acting is just as bad. The make up looks as though it has been applied with a spatula and the costumes are tacky. They look homemade. This is not good. Maybe important historically but artistically it is a bomb and a dud at that. As an added bonus it is over three hours long. I forgot to mention that it makes no attempt at historical accuracy.

A pure classic of it's time and every actor did justice to it's role. A must watch.

An Egyptian Movie that Worth watching world wide

I decided to write this review after I watched the movie Kingdom of Heaven I watched this movie about 10 times or so, and I'm ready to watch it again really great movie and gathers a lot of best actors in Egyptian cinema the story line is the original story of Salah Eldin and the crusades in Bayt EL-Makdes as documented in History The Movie shows the Human side of the great leader, the manners of Arabs specially in wars.

It Showed that although Salah El Din is Richard-Lion Heart's enemy but his principles refused him to accept to betray him and accept what August tried to offer him to retreat his troops and betray Richard Lots and Lots of situations and all lead to same result A real Great Movie
