Plot summary

Wo die Erde bebt (Earthquake Bird) ist ein Mysteryfilm von Wash Westmoreland. Der Film basiert auf dem gleichnamigen Roman von Susanna Jones… Während sie als Übersetzerin in Japan arbeitet, verliebt sich eine Frau in einen Fotografen… Eine ungewöhnlich langsame, aber fesselnde Geschichte, die uns Einblick in die japanische Kultur gewährt. Eine perfekt artikulierte Charakterstudie über eine toxische Dreiecksbeziehung… Ein Psychodrama mit einer guten Schauspielerischen Leistung, das für mich aber sehr langatmig inszeniert ist…

An odd watch. It wasn't bad but it

An odd watch. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. The credits rolled and I said to myself aloud, "Well what was the point of that?" Never a good sign when rating a movie. Too many questions and WAY too few answers.

What’s not to love about this movie. Alicia and Riley give stunning performances and the backdrop of Tokyo makes this film visually beautiful whilst the story captivates and draws you in. Perfect ?
