Rated: 7.8/10 ⭐️ I expected a cash-grab but got a fun story. It felt like Toriyama saying, “let’s make this like the old days, but bigger.” What Worked: Toriyama’s touch brings back that chaotic, warm vibe, balancing slice-of-life with god-tier fights. Beerus and Whis stole the show for me; their sleek designs and banter just click. Plus, the score and that Flow’s “Cha-La” cover hit me with fresh nostalgia. The Cuts: The party segment really dragged; side characters goofing off while Earth is threatened tested my patience. The digital animation took adjusting since faces felt too glossy compared to classic DBZ. Plus, keeping it spoiler-free, the vague “god” power-scaling forced me to just roll with it. Verdict: Watch if you miss the original run’s heart. As a Methodist, themes of humility and protecting others resonated with me: the “power isn’t everything” message landed perfectly. Skip if you want nonstop fights; this one breathes. Line: “I won’t let you destroy my world!”
