Plot summary

Seventeen year old Tanya's plans for a carefree summer are derailed when her stressed-to-the-limit mom takes off for a wellness retreat and puts Tanya and her three siblings in the charge of a crotchety (and racist) old babysitter. The babysitter’s sudden death leaves the kids short on cash and reluctant to pull mom prematurely out of her much-needed R&R, so Tanya is forced to get a job. Posing as an adult, she gets a gig as the executive assistant at a fashion company and overnight is thrust into the world of adulthood and parenting.

**AWFUL EVERYTHING** I truly can't believe this movie

**AWFUL EVERYTHING** I truly can't believe this movie was actually approved and financed. The acting, the script, the story, the dialogue are all hilariously awful. One of the first movies I have tried to watch where I was speechless at how stupid everything was. Literally the dumbest film I've seen in 2025. Someone with eeeeeeextremely low IQ must have written this! **1/10 Organize your Tupperware cabinet instead of watching this ?**

Rotten Tomatoes is a joke.

They rated the new one higher than the old one? I dont blame the actors, or crew but I don't understand how a "reboot" of a cult classic is getting higher praise than the source material. This is why I can't stand RT or a lot of critics for that matter. Their opinion fits a "mold" so their colleagues won't outcast them. Ridiculous. Ludicrous. Asanine. Once again the actors and crew did their best to reboot a movie long forgotten. Next they will reboot "Adventures In Babysitting" or "Weekend at Bernies" but I'm sure the critics will give those movies praising reviews as well, no matter how good or bad it is. Dont even take my review at face value, watch both movies and make up your own minds.

Eh, they tried.

A few fun nods to the OG but fell short. Super rushed and lacked the bite and reality of the original. The simple fact is, the original wouldn't fly on a logical stance these days. No one questioned it in the early 90s. The original had realistic kids and characters for that time, even Kenny's evolution couldn't be mimicked. My kids and I watched it and I immediately made them watch the original because it had a magic the remake couldn't capture. I'm all for taking nostalgia and trying to reinvent it but this fell flat. I hope no one tries a camp nowhere remake because I'd imagine it'd be as lame as this.
