This was actually meant as a pilot to a new Doctor Who tv show. It would take nine years to revive the show, withous us ever knowing how the doctor came to regenerate into the 9th doctor.

Permission to Squeeeeeeeee!!!! Good movie for the Day. It's too bad It took 22 years for the 8th Doctor to come back to the TV screens, and even that we only got 6 Min 30 sec of him! Don't get me wrong, Luckily, the Big Finish 8th Doctor Audio stories have made up for the Absence of the 8th doctor on the screens! Specially the New Adventures! The Regeneration from 7 to 8 is ok....But couyldve been done better. Eric Robers as the Master...He's was No Roger Delgado, or Anthony Ainley or Geofrey Beavers or peter Pratt. He does it too Camp! Bascially, the 1996 TVM is proof that Doctor Who should never be done by a United States Production Company,
