Plot summary

A poorly acted, nonsensical clown show about the

A poorly acted, nonsensical clown show about the overwhelming majority of America which desperately wants to be oppressed. Nearly satirical in it's hamfisted, ludicrous execution, Disciples in the Moonlight is slop fit only for the mouths of the mindless indoctrinated that are pleased with anything that seems to affirm their delusions of being persecuted. It's hobbled together lore is less of a cohesive timeline or an effective allegory and more of a general, handwaving bit of exposition which has nothing more to say than "God Good, Left Bad" without actually putting forward any specific arguments or possessing any critiques of the ideologies they try to demonize in the movie. Essentially nothing about the conflict is rooted in reality and the ending message contradicts the world developed by it's tv-driven exposition. Disciples in the Moonlight is almost fun-bad. Almost.

This is one of the best movies I

This is one of the best movies I have ever watched. It literally had me on the edge of my seat for the whole 2 hours. I don't even know how I was sitting down. I was so much on the edge of my seat. I would have to say that this has to be my new favorite movie of all time. Highly recommended you definitely won't be disappointed.

Aside from the very obvious victim complex... My

Aside from the very obvious victim complex... My main issue is that this movie doesn't explain anything at all. I understand the importance of "show don't tell" in fiction but here nothing is even shown. The catalyst incident as to why the Bible is forbidden is never explained or talked about, nothing about the politics of this world are explained, just what's going on?! Give us something to work with! The use of extremely cliché action movie lines will make you laugh though because it's just so hard to take anything seriously while watching it. It feels like a parody honestly. I guess I somewhat see what they were trying to do but the sheer lack of worldbuilding makes this unwatchable and a waste of time even for people who agree with the movie's message.
