Plot summary

Down-on-their-luck racers Larry and Deke steal from a supermarket manager to buy a car that will help them advance their racing chances. Their escape does not go as planned when Larry's one-night stand, Mary, tags along for the ride.

This was really memorable. I have recently discovered I have enjoyed Peter's work almost as much as his much more famous sister and father. And talk about a great ending!

One of the best car chase movies of the 70's

Compared to other chase movies of the decade this is a superior one. Larry (Peter Fonda), needs money to help his dream of auto racing. Helping him is his mechanic Deke (Adam Roarke), and they plan to steal the takings of a convenience store. What they didn't expect was one of Larry's one night stands Mary (Susan George).Let's get one thing straight, these are no murderers and the cops aren't so bad either. As far as I could see no one gets killed, it's just a chase movie. Fonda and George are excellent in this movie but Adam Roarke steals the show for me as the third cog in the wheel of the chased.
