Plot summary

A girl, Carola, whose vacation in Kenya takes an interesting turn when she becomes infatuated with a Masai. Carola decides to leave her boyfriend to stay with her lover. There, she has to adapt to the Masai's way of life and get used to their food which includes milk mixed with blood. She also has to face her husband's attitude towards women and what he expects from a wife. Nonetheless, Carola is welcomed warmly into the tribe she has chosen to join.

The film reflects on how difficult it is

The film reflects on how difficult it is when two people who belong to different cultures and civilizations fall in love. The story is really beutifully thought trough and presented. Also, the scenary and the african nature complete the movie perfectly.

Movie taken by a true story. I don't know if I can call it courage that she is blinded, at first sight, by some guy from the tribe, and decided to stay with him in that place, the middle of nowhere. Of course, as I assumed, these are two different worlds ......

The "info" writer did not describe this movie adequately. First of all, her name is Carola, his name is Lemalian. And, how can he be characterized as "illiterate" when he speaks and understands English perfectly, and also understands German!!! He may not read, but he is hardly illiterate. The story was compelling, the acting exemplary. An unusual movie about love. Cross-cultural relationships are harder than same-culture relationships...and how many of the latter survive? It is a moving and fascinating movie. Watch and learn.
