Delightful tragic-comedy of four people caught in a

Delightful tragic-comedy of four people caught in a vicious game of love, deceit and heartbreak. Synopsis - two people who are cheated on by their spouses (who are in love with each other) decide to get back at them using guile and sheer wicked cunning. Alice Taglioni and Francois Cluzot are amazing as the jilted spouses who scheme and plot to get their other halves back(albeit with hilarious and tragic consequences). The crux of the plot lies in the realization that what they thought they wanted, was something they didn't need. The soundtrack filled with Jazz overtones is amazing and suits the irony of the script. The performances display the idiosyncratic nature of love and its folly in all its forms and leaves you sad and smiling at the same time.

Grande spécialité française, les vaudevilles basés sur le

Grande spécialité française, les vaudevilles basés sur le "kicékicouchaveki?" ont toujours fait recette. "Détrompez-vous" a pour lui son titre assez sympathique...on ne peut effectivement pas dire qu'il révolutionne quoi que ce soit d'autre. Le mari cocu qui s'allie avec la femme trompée pour pourrir la relation adultérine de leur conjoints respectifs, c'est du déjà-vu sur toute la durée, tout comme les multiples quiproquos bien convenus. Reste que s'il s'agit d'humour sans risques, c'est également un humour qui fonctionne bien, dans ses vannes lourdes comme dans ses trouvailles plus ingénieuses, et on passe en fin de compte un agréable moment à attendre la conclusion hyper prévisible du film. Faut-il en demander davantage à une comédie française ?
