Plot summary

France, 1789 - just before the Revolution. When talented chef Manceron is dismissed from his prestigious position by the Duke of Chamfort, he loses the taste for cooking. But when he meets the mysterious Louise, together they decide to create the very first restaurant in France.

Like a very good meal, this little movie

Like a very good meal, this little movie is quietly thoughtful and served at a perfect pace. It left me thinking not just about food but about the magic of theater that is always a part of truly great hospitality experiences. I went to bed happy after seeing this charming movie. I wish there were more movies like this!
