**Review: 3.5 Stars** *Defying Gravity: The Curtain Rises

**Review: 3.5 Stars** *Defying Gravity: The Curtain Rises on Wicked* is a must-watch for any Wicked fan — and honestly, for anyone who loves a good behind-the-scenes story. Having loved both the movie and the Broadway show, I was already sold, but this documentary took my appreciation to another level. It dives deep into the creative process, showing the sheer passion and talent that brought Wicked to life. The interviews and behind-the-scenes clips are gold, giving you that “aha!” moment about why the franchise resonates so deeply. My only gripe? It left me even more convinced that Wicked deserved to sweep the Oscars — how did they miss out on more wins?! While it doesn’t reinvent the documentary format, it’s heartfelt and engaging enough to keep you hooked. A love letter to a cultural phenomenon — and honestly, it hits all the right notes.

LOVED WICKED! This film is an absolute must see, from the intriguing plot that reels you in to the theatrical production! I’m not the biggest fan of musicals and the casting decisions had me a bit skeptical beforehand but boy am i glad to be proven wrong. Grab your tickets and popcorn, you’re in for a treat:)
