Jack is becoming a parody of himself, of which he satirised in Tropic Thunder with 'The Fatties'. Imagine the director Goldmanschekelstein telling him to do the fking face with the eye brow up.

DIdn't like it. Jack Black is no longer funny. Not sure what it is he is trying to hold on to, but while the rest of the world evolved, he did not. Getting to the point where I see him starring in a movie, I skip it by default. If you want to waste your time, just put on one of those lifestyle christmas flicks and die slowly inside with that instead.

It's actually a pretty fun little film. Nothing amazing or ridiculous - but worth a chuckle.

Btw, Brianne Howey (who played Liam's mother Molly) really a doppelganger for SNL's Chloe Fineman. Through out the movie I thought she was her until I saw the cast credits.

Ignore all those negative comments from these trolls. This movie is great and hilarious. I laughed through out the movie. Jack Black is great comedy actor as usual.

Just watched it. Leaving all the controversy aside, I have to say it felt like the actors were doing a high school play. There was no genuine connection between the lines, as if they were rehearsed and read without interaction. Everyone just seemed to be going through the motions. The funny lines felt flat and lacked spontaneous timing. There were times it was actually painful to watch the actors try to make it through a scene. Jack Black is a hit or miss kind of actor and I really think that this was a miss. You could see him try but everyone else just fell short. Skip this one. Not because of the controversy but just because it sucked worse than a freshly refurbished Kirby vacuum cleaner.

I'm not sure why there's so much hate for this film & Jack Black, I watched it tonight & enjoyed it. I think 6/10 is a fair score, it's one you'd watch once then forget about.

The review you need: This is extremely terrible. The writing, the dialogue, the attitude, the acting, the incompetent actors themselves. It's just sickening. If you want a christmas movie I recommend: The Christmas Chronicles or Klaus. Both are very good and enjoyable.
