Plot summary

The story, on paper, seems promising enough. A

The story, on paper, seems promising enough. A police officer, the criminal he has taken into custody, an actor, and two apartment tenants are trapped on an stalled elevator when a zombie outbreak occurs. Unfortunately, Deadlocked's premise is the end of the promise it holds. The main cast feels uninspired, at times feeling they're just reading through the script for the first time. The opening third of the movie is mind numbingly boring, and even when things begin to pick up, well, it doesn't pick up much. The characters never get expanded upon outside of what must have been a single line in the script. The special effects in the movie, while not great, are well done considering the feel of the rest of the movie. Ultimately, Deadlocked isn't over the top enough to be a fun watch, and definitely isn't well made enough to stand on its own too feet.

Not bad...but not GREAT either.

The zombie movie trend has been beaten to DEATH,and this is just another so so zombie flick. It has a couple of good jump scares,and the story is OK at best. The police officer could use a little bit of polishing on his acting skills...actually the best actor in the film is Sophie Giberson. I don't think it's higher than a five star rating (at least in my opinion) but it's a good way to blow an hour and twenty minutes if you have nothing else to do. Toodles.
