Plot summary

In post-apocalyptic Yokohama, a hard-boiled cop and a mellowed out drifter hook up with a gang of rebels. When the gang kidnap the cop's son, the wheels are set in motion for an inevitable showdown.

The final installment takes us into the future

The final installment takes us into the future where a gay leader has started drugging the public with birth control in his efforts to control the breeders. Our two leads return as a cop and a mysterious blonde android on opposite sides of the resistance movement, which leads into some fun action bits anbd culminates in a truly head scratching finale. Well worth a peep, recommended.

Les films de Miike Takashi se ressemblent quand

Les films de Miike Takashi se ressemblent quand même beaucoup. Pour ce dernier opus de Dead or Alive, l'ouverture est fabuleuse et la fin probablement encore plus folle que celle du premier épisode. Malheureusement, c'est le développement qui est un peu faiblard, malgré une belle vision d'un Yokohama du 24e siècle, sous un filtre jaune que n'aurait pas renié Michael Bay. Aikawa Sho et Takeuchi Riki sont formidables, Terence Yin et Richard Chen sont de solides seconds rôles, mais rien n'y fait, Final est bien moins réussi que Tobosha ou Hanzaisha.
