Although the film's humor, soundtrack, attire, and even the reference to the Freshman Facebook (most of you had no idea this was an actual thing I am sure) may all seem very dated... well that's because it is. The film was made in the late 1990's and everything about it is true to the period. The movie is paced well, the characters are over the top, and the structure is definitely there. Do the female characters have a purpose beyond love interests? Definitely not. This concept and movie certainly were made based on a primarily high school to college aged male demographic. That being said, the humor is fairly good and you'd have to be a complete stick in the mud to not find moments in this to be funny. Ignore the hipster millennial critics making reviews about a 20-25 year old comedy because they are upset that it didn't stay true to their contemporary sensibilities. Just turn your brain off and enjoy.

One of a kind movie that goes perfectly

One of a kind movie that goes perfectly with my sick sense of humour. Also nice to see Jason Segel and Linda Cardellini hook up.

One of the last great stoner comedies. I

One of the last great stoner comedies. I watched this as a teenager when it came out and fell in love with it instantly. 25 years later it still holds up. Great late night comedy to watch with plenty of fun scenes. Mark-Paul did an amazing job transitioning from a clean teenage actor to a hilarious partying stoner; he deserves a lot more credit for this role. The soundtrack is pretty awesome too!! All the actors played their parts so well and Jason Seagull really burst onto the scene with his character. It's dark humor for sure but it also captures the youth living in the moment before smartphones.
