Plot summary

While stationed in Asia, six American G.I.'s witness the secret ritual of Lamians (worshipers of women who can change into serpents). When discovered by the cult, the High Lamian Priest vows that "the Cobra Goddess will avenge herself". Once back in the United States, a mysterious woman enters into their lives and accidents begin to happen. The shadow of a cobra is seen just before each death.

3.0 stars; Wow. Richard Long, Marshall Thompson, David Janssen, Jack Kelly, and William Reynolds... Sounds like a 1960s all-star TV cast. Instead, in this case, it's the cast of a 1950s horror flick. They, along with horror flick veteran Faith Domergue, carry a plot that is as old as horror flicks themselves. The plot gimmick is that people can change into animals and back into people again. In the case of this flick, the animal involved is a deadly King Cobra. This was very similar in content and style to the 1940s "Cat People". The only difference, of course, is that we're talking about snakes rather than cats. To me, snakes are a lot creepier than cats anyhow. So if you are a connoisseur of 1950s scary movies, this film should satisfy. Even though they are carrying the movie, don't expect the good actors to raise this film to a higher quality level.
