Plot summary

Kusturica never lets you down if you’re looking

Kusturica never lets you down if you’re looking for an offbeat Serb/Croat film about gypsies. Another masterpiece from one of the very best Directors of the last 50 years. Not quite Time of the Gypsies brilliant but still a fun, wild, chaotic and amusing ride of irreverence, fantastic music and fine attention to detail. Watched on DVD.

A slavic masterpiece in every sense. This film

A slavic masterpiece in every sense. This film has been a must watch my whole life. Watching it the first time when I was about 9. Watching it for the 1000th time at 25, it is just as if not a more enjoyable watch. From the perfect capture of slavic humour to the story itself. As a romani person myself, its even better to actually understand it in our native tongue. The soundtrack is amazing and will have you singing "bubamara" weeks after watching it. This is for sure a must watch.
