This is the seminal documentary about censorship. Music is merely used as a jumping off point for a much larger discussion, which needs to happen in our culture. “Cover Your Ears” truly moves the goal posts forward on this ongoing dialogue. Writer/Director Sean Patrick Saul has made a complex topic accessible to the masses, despite which side of the line one might sit. You just might find yourself questioning your own perceptions of what is free speech and what is dangerous for consumption by us, the listener.

A must watch for music fans!

Outstanding documentary that looks at music censorship. Through interviews with a diverse range of artists, from Ian Mackaye to Chuck D and everything in between, the filmmaker does an excellent job of looking at censorship through varied lenses. Treat yourself, and check out this fun and informative doc!
