It was not a great movie...

Stumbling upon the 2006 horror movie "Costa Chica: Confession of an Exorcist" by random chance here in 2026 and never having heard about it, I have to admit that I needed no persuasion to watch the movie. I am, after all, a big fan of all things horror. But I have to say that the 2.5 rating that the movie had landed here on IMDb certainly raised some red flags. And the fact that the movie was written by, directed by and starring the one and same person certainly also raised a red flag. I have a big aversion towards such movies, as they tend to be questionable affairs. Truth be told, then I had harbored zero expectations to this movie.Oddly enough, the version of the movie I stumbled upon was titled "Legion: The Final Exorcism".Writer David Heavener didn't exactly piece together a particularly entertaining or exciting script and storyline. My interest in the movie waned pretty quickly, and the movie sort of became a mere background noise as my interest and attention drifted elsewhere.Of the entire cast ensemble, I actually do believe I was only familiar with Roddy Piper. The acting performances in the movie were adequate. The effects in the movie were nothing to write home about. So don't get your hopes up.This is most definitely not a movie I would recommend you to sit down and waste 81 minutes on watching. Nor is it a movie that I will ever pick up a second time.My rating of writer and director David Heavener's 2006 movie "Costa Chica: Confession of an Exorcist" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.
