Plot summary
Members of a family quit the polluted, rubbish-strewn city of Beirut for an idyllic mountain home. However, their dreams of a utopian existence are shattered by the construction of a landfill on the boundary of their land.

Beautiful film that depicts the struggle of finding
A heartwarming, slowburning portrait of tightknit, loving family life
The good: this movie has got true heart and soul. Such a relief to see a real movie about real humans, with real emotions again!
More good: the acting in this movie is honest and true to life, which creates an endearing portrait of a loving family, whom we get to see live together from day to day. This may sound a bit tedious and although it is quite a slowburning story, it never became a tedious watch, because of the true to life emotions and situations we get to see this family go through. Quite ordinary situations, nothing spectacular. Just everyday life, we all know ourselves from our own family lives. But still interesting to watch...
The direction and photography are impressive, but without being flashy or in your face. Everything about this movie is tranquil and serene.
We simply get to see, up close and personal, the life and love of a tightknit family.
Family bonds are universal. And so is this movie...
