Plot summary

Harmon is a CIA/DEA enforcer investigating Arab terrorists captured in Mexico. With his team--seductive FBI agent Zara and spy-drone pilot Sharp--he flies to Istanbul and uncovers a brutal plot: Islamic extremists plan to use Sonora drug-smuggling routes to bring deadly weapons, and leaders, into the U.S. To prevent an attack on America, Harmon must turn these two savage forces against one another before his time--and his luck--run out.

Un film de acción con una interesante premisa

Un film de acción con una interesante premisa, pero con una historia simple que requería de más contenido y deja mucho que desear. Steven Seagal aún es un buen peleador, pero su personaje requiere de ciertos ajustes. La trama es algo confusa y cuesta unir las piezas. Aunque las escenas de acción son aceptables, faltaba más energía, ya que casi toda la película es aburrida y solo el tercer acto es más disfrutable. La dirección es bastante rara, dando como resultado una película bastante regular, con muchos errores e incoherencias que tenía mucho que ofrecer, pero se quedó corta. Mi calificación para esta película es un 6/10.

If you took the plot of Contract to

If you took the plot of Contract to Kill and plugged in a cast that, you know, tried, you might be able to make something out of this. The idea of Islamic militants working together with a Mexican cartel is interesting enough on its face. Ah, but then you add Seagal. The first fight was done from a chair. This doesn't so much impress you as it sets the tone for the rest of the film. You have Mary Sue Seagal mumbling and yawning his way through the film. (At one point, we are to believe he climbed six flights of stairs. He was out of breath climbing down the six flights later on.) Ten points to Jemma Dallander for enduring a (mercifully brief) nude scene with Seagal. If this film was just Russell Wong and Dallander with no Seagal, it would have been ten times better. The special effects and scenes of Seagal doing things were good for a chuckle, but that was about it. The yellow Camaro also sounded Half Past Dead in a hilarious chase scene. Bad movie, but unintentionally funny.
