The lead actress was very good but most

The lead actress was very good but most of the other actors were horrible and wooden except for maybe Corbin Bernsen. The story is boring, predictable and seems to be a warning about losing your morals. It would be a perfect movie if the audience were high school girls in a catholic school and the teachers were trying to scare them into never "straying from the path of God" but for the rest of the world it comes off as preachy and condesending. Become a go-go dancer or any dancer that dances just for men and you will automatically become a drug addict, lose any hopes and dreams you have, lose your family, lose your perfect boyfriend and if you stay in too long you die. I wouldn't be surprised if a nun wrote the script and the church funded it. Horrible movie.

A moment of inspiration has led me to

A moment of inspiration has led me to look into Sarah Carter’s filmography, and this movie caught my attention. All I noticed was that film poster, and I was in immediately not knowing what to expect. Jane is a beautiful and intelligent young woman from a respectable family, but she has dreams that are not supported by her family. An upper-class family that frowns on her going to acting school to the point they make it clear, they will not support her and she must pay for school herself. It is difficult for her until she meets up with Angela, a beautiful and free-spirited photographer that she meets at school who sets up professional photography shots for budding actresses, but its in go-go dancing that she makes her living. Dancing in revealing outfits for upper-class atmosphere of well-to-do men, no nudity but plenty of money to be made. Jane’s conservatism originally frowns on this but ends up doing this for the money but also for the thrill, to be seen as beautiful and attractive. But it takes a good attitude and while Jane has this, Angela does not as she is of poor morals – greedy, drug-addled, and sociopathic. Jane of course, keeps all this a secret from her family because she feels empowered but eventually the negatives outweigh the positives as she and Angela are driven to circumstances. One falls victim, the other finds redemption. Not bad at all. I got to say I was more than overjoyed to be spending a good while checking out Sarah Carter in several great exotic dances with Rachel Hunter and budding star Chelsea Hobbs. It was also nice that Corbin Bernsen played a good role. The story itself feels somewhat lacking, personally wishing to see nudity, but you can tell a good story without nudity as I can compare this favorably with the J-Lo movie Hustlers, but without the money and polish, this is after all a Lifetime movie. Wanting to empower women but not at the exaltation of the male libido by showing a matronly dancer in Rachel Hunter but an immoral young dancer in Sarah Carter, and a moral manager in Corbin Bernsen. But Lifetime is about supporting women, with respect to being attractive but also assertive, which fulfills the goal. Still, the acting isn’t all that great and the story is somewhat flawed, but a good time is spent watching, nevertheless.
