Plot summary

Emotionally powerful from beginning to end. It was

Emotionally powerful from beginning to end. It was both joyful and sad, and a real tearjerker without feeling manipulative. The story moved quickly from scene to scene, and the Irish-flavored music gave it energy and warmth. Everything worked.

(spoilers are probably included) I love the show and how accurate it is. Planning on going to see Newfoundland within the next few years. I love how it's displayed. I have most of the songs in my head all the time. it's a perfect mix of funny and serious. it handles real topics that happened and had the actual plane people to fact check the scripts. the mix of languages and religions within some of the songs. The Egyptian/muslim racism is most incredibly accurate, essepesailly for the time that happened. the acting, switching of the accents and the writting. "everything starts and end at Tim hortians" (I can't spell) quite literally. the play mainly starts at the joint and the play mainly ends in the same place. the use of the chairs is awesome!!

Having been hugely unimpressed with all of the new stage musicals I’ve seen over the past 10 years I was expecting the worst going into this, especially knowing it was related to 9/11 – how are they going to make that entertaining? Wow! What a brilliant musical, totally engaging. Heart-warming, moving and funny it moved at a great pace, always entertaining. And great to see an entirely older cast, a lot of new musical creators seemingly youth-obsessed. It would make an amazing stage to film adaptation if filmed on location in Newfoundland.
