Genoan navigator Christopher Columbus has a dream to find an alternative route to sail to the Indies, by traveling west instead of east, across the unchartered Ocean sea. After failing to find backing from the Portugese, he goes to the Spanish court to ask Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand for help. After surviving a grilling from the Head of the Spanish Inquisition Tomas de Torquemada, he eventually gets the blessing from Queen Isabella and sets sail in three ships to travel into the unknown. Along the way he must deal with sabotage from Portugese spies and mutiny from a rebellious crew.
i'll entertain myself here. I am an archaeologist. you argument for china's discovery of the americas isnt good science. attack me all you want, doesnt change history. history of field archaeologists, they shared a name to share hotel rewards. the name they shared: buck manley. cheers homie
this whole "many others in the archaeology community" is nonsense. There is a well established community of serious archaeologists that work together and corroborate timelines and findings and then there is the group you refer to that are fringe pseudoscientists. they are not peer reviewed and they publish sensationalism. why don't you try a meet and greet with a friendly local historian or even a librarian? i'll admit where and when i'm wrong and wont take anything personally. you trespass in the bailiwick of my profession and passion.
I worked with ruskamp in utah!! interesting you'd bring him up.. deeper into pseudoscience you go.. Ive read a bit of knieghtly's stuff but it was on Chinese history and had no connection to the americas. try again. again. you know why you don't see my name at the top of a published paper? you don't read much about archaeology. it would be very specific, but i am published. I dedicate my studies to the americas though. that is why I loathe this eurocentric drivel about cistobal. If you would like to see my name, I worked in nine mile canyon utah when ruskamp was trying to connect the petroglyphs there to ancient chinese art. the more you seek something the more you find it. that's not good science and not good archaeology.
if any of you are referencing the books 1434 or 1421 and are saying the expeditions of hong bao, zhou man, zhou wen, or yang qing could have possibly made it to the new world, you are spreading pseudoscience and i suggest you read more and stop watching the history channel.
zkank at the time of the arrival of the spainish in mexico, teotehuacan was the most advandanced city on the planet. as far as the wheel is concerned it most certainly existed all over the new world, but in south america it was only in toys because the terrian is much too steep for it to be useful.
The vikings are the settlement I'm talking about. The vinland sagas were written by the time the spanish and Portuguese set sail. Not only can I read, but I am an archaeologist. China never made it to the new world the only book that even suggests it was written by an ex british navy captain that purported it could be done. come at me with research. like i said, you are in the land of pseudoscience.
